Registration for ECSA’s event on the role of Resilient and Sustainable Ship Financing in the transition towards fully decarbonised shipping is now open!

As the shipping sector strives to decarbonise, the need for new and diversified sources of financing and funding is emerging. Who will finance the shipping of tomorrow? How can banking private capital and government funding come together to promote the transition?

This event will revolve around two main panel discussions:

  1. Sustainable finance and financing new technologies

The first panel on Sustainable Finance will discuss the  potential for financing innovation in shipping, and debate the possible structures and cooperation possibilities.

  1. Financing shipping in light of the Capital Requirements Rules

Our second panel will address how the new Capital Requirements Regulation could impact the financing of green shipping projects, as well as its coherence with Green Asset Ratios which will make lending to shipping more restrictive. The panellist will also debate how the EU Taxonomy and other green legal frameworks could be aligned with the new banking rules, while keeping ship financing resilient.

Registration for this event is open! To sign up, please send an email to events@ecsa.eu before 3rd June.

In-person participation from the ECSA premises will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
