A Guide on Existing EU Funding Programmes on Apprenticeship and Training that are of Relevance to the Shipping Industry

The European Commission has accepted a proposal from the EU Social Partners for maritime transport – the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) and the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) – to carry out a project that will analyse existing EU funds in the field of apprenticeship and training of relevance to the shipping industry. The outcome of this analysis should result in a Guide that will provide guidance to stakeholders (shipping companies, trade unions, local authorities, maritime training and education centre, other stakeholders) on the existing relevant EU funds and on how to make use of them.

This Guide will be presented at the occasion of a final conference and will be made available online on the websites of ECSA, ETF and their respective memberships.
